Who do You Think You Are?

Hi

My name is Jadyn Andera and this is the history of my epic family. During this project I learned part of my family history and learned more then I thought had existed in our family. I started my journey by asking my parents 20 Questions. After learning more family history I moved onto my e-mail, that was sent to my biological father to learn anything that I had not already learned before. After I gathered all my info I made my family tree that envolves 15 of my realitives. After that I made a interesting family tree on Prezi that could interest you. And finally I made a five frame story board with some of the most interesting pictures I could find.

I think that the short movie that we watched was really entertaining and had many true facts to go along with the video and how everything he said was true. During the video I was thinking in my head and thought about it and realized that what he said in that video was true and maybe we should start to look away from technology and start interacting with people in person.

Reflect on your stop-motion animation project. How did it go? What worked? What didn't work? If you're not finished - why? If you are finished go in to detail about the project and what you learned. Give as much detail and information as possible.

My stop-motion is absolutely awesome and I worked really hard on it. Everything worked for me worked really well except for it to save, the file was apparently to big and couldn't save

What is your idea for your stop-motion animation? Explain yourself. Have you started taking photos? If not, when do you plan to take your photos? What is your action plan for today? What is your plan to GET SOMETHING DONE?

My idea is that I'm going to make a Star Wars Lego battle. I'm going to have the two good guys meet and then they shot down the bad guy in his ship. I have started taking photos. My action plan is to upload my photos that I already have and start working on the video.

What is stop motion animation? If you don't know, look it up! Explain.

Stop motion animation is where you take a lot of pictures that move one by one and you make a small video out of it.

Tell me about your 5 frame storyboard. What did you like about the project? What did you dislike? Was it hard to fit a story in to 5 images? Do you think you tell a clear story? What would you do differently if you could? Explain.

I like that we were able to chose what our topic was on rather than getting one that we would not like to do. What I dislike is that we didn't get the weekend to do this because if we wanted to show what we ate at a restaurant then we could not plan it. No. Yes I think my story is clear. Try to get me into the pictures.

Storyboards are graphic organizers that are leading to some visual product. Story boards are used to make some type of visual product such as movies and artwork.

Yes. Some of the pictures were harder to find then others. I think you wanted us to have fun and learn about taking photos.

What do you know about photography? When you take pictures what kind of camera do you use? Do you use your cell phone? Do you own a digital camera that is not your cell phone? Explain.

Photography is known about taking pictures or videos of a or more subjects. I like to use a color camera and I also like to use my cellphone. I do own a digital camera (my parents do but I know they won't mind me using it).

Welcome back! How was your Spring Break? Tell me all about it. You've been out of school for 10 days so I know you will have plenty to share. Make it good!

My spring break was time well spent. The main parts of my trip were that I went to Texas with my dad and went to the beach, the Houston space center, and I also went to an amusement park and go-carting.

Prepare yourself... I want you to really THINK about this blog post. I mean really use your brain. What is the significance of an infographic? What is the point of pairing graphics and information together? What impact can this have on a reader or viewer. EXPLAIN.

The significance of an infographic is that it combines pictures and information to show you a topic of something important. The point of pairing these to things together is that it makes the reading much more interesting and has a bigger impact then a three page paper. You can see related pictures about the topic and get interesting info. The impact on the reader would be more than if you read a regular paper.

I think i would like to make an infographic because they are lots of fun and I like to look at pictures rather than reading a three page paper.

I've made it pretty far and I don't think it will be done today. I think I have used my time wisely and hope to do it again today.

So we can use our time wisely when making our project. Also we won't have to look for more information because we will already have it there for us.

Yesterday I introduced you to infographics... tell me again what they are and how they are used? What is the benefit of an infographic? What goes into an infograpahic?

An infographic is a poster that gives you information about a certain topic, they use picture, statistics and facts. The pictures are usually animated and usually there are step by step things that show you how you can help.

Drones are powerful, dangerous object and they use dangerous weapons that can harm people. But that's not the only dis advantage that they have, with our technology now, they can still be hacked by the enemy and can be used for several different purposes.

Where are you at with your 5 paragraph essay so far? How is it coming? Is it easy to write? Difficult to write? Is it helpful that you created an outline first? Explain.

I think it is hard to write because I don't have a ton of information but just enough to get it done. I think writing the outline was very helpful. I have less than half of it done.

Tell me about your Sweetheart weekend. If you didn't go to Sweetheart, what did you do? I want details!

First of all, i didn't go to the sweetheart dance or any of those things. I stayed home and played video games and watched TV. On Sunday I went to a super bowl party and ate lots of food and also played a little bit of pool. On  the other hand I also watched The Walking dead marathon on Sunday.

Who do you look up to in life? Why? What have they done to help you or guide you?

I look up to my father because he works really hard and one day I hope to be a little bit like him and I hope that one day I will be part of the military and will work just as hard. He has helped me by leading me and pushing me to do my best and even though we don't live under the same roof I still respect him and he has also helped me with my school work.

If you could pick one issue in the world to fix or change what would it be and why?

I would fix Violence. I would fix violence because without violence the would would be safer and no one would ever get hurt/killed. Without people getting killed we would have to be sad if someone died in a gun fight. Also we wouldn't have to spend money on weapons and we wouldn't be in debt.

What is a Public Service Announcement? If you don't know what it is, Google it. In your own words, now tell me what it is? What are they used for? Can you recall an example of a PSA you've seen before?

A PSA is an announcement to the people to inform them about a certain topic. They could also be advertisements to get you interested into something. These could come from the radio, television, internet, and/or magazine. An example could be when your watching you tube videos and before the video actually starts it would give you an advertisement. There could be also an informational matter that they might give you.

For my three day weekend my grandparents came to my house. We played darts, golf, and bowling on the Xbox, and we played lots of card games like cribbage. I also had a friend come over and we had a big Nerf battle and played Xbox.

What have you learned about Google Drive and Google Presentation so far? What do you like about it? What problems have you run in to? Is it better than PowerPoint?Explain.

I learned a lot about Google Drive because it is new to me and I haven't learned or used it before. I think it is a little bit better than PowerPoint because it is a lot simpler. What I like about it is that it is easy to use and simple. Problems I've run into are changing URLs into a simpler word like source.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted I should be able to use it.

I disagree with that statement. Taking images off the internet without citing is plagiarism. Usually the person that published it used it for personal reasons. So if you take photos from that persons site then you will need to use a bibliography to show that you didn't steal it from that person.

What I want to learn this semester?

What I want to learn this semester is how to learn to use a computer correctly and how it will help me later on in life. I want to learn different programs that will help me in later professions and work. What I want to walk away with is the knowledge of a computer and how to help other and myself with other struggles that will come up in life.
